Deep Down I'm a "WILD CHILD"

So, I no longer paint my finger nails.  It doesn't seem worth the time or effort.  Between washing dishes, crafts, and many other things, the polish just doesn't stay on.  My toenails on the other hand, I do love to dress up.

I recently read on a blog about Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail treatments.  LOVE IT!!!  I had mine on for about 3 weeks before I took them off.  They went through sandy beach, pool, and regular wear and tear.  The "paint" remained on through it all.

They are basically just a thin plastic like wrap that you stretch onto your nail.

Sorry, thought I took a picture of my toes, but guess I didn't.

This is what I used though.

Hope you guys try them out.  They are a great way to express your inner "Wild Child" self.

Summer Travels Part 5

One our way home from Tennessee we found a few more neat spots to stop.

Happened upon this little pull off with a great view.

Wasn't sure about the steps at first, but what a wonderful view it led to.

Next stop was The Varsity in Atlanta, Georgia.

The counter where you place your order.

Yummm!!!

Summer Travels - Part 4

Chattanooga

We love going to Chattanooga.  There is so much to see and do here.

We started off this day by going to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.  On the weekend there they have steam locomotive rides instead of the diesel they have during the week.  After paying for your tickets, you go on a 45 minute ride, and they turn the engine around on a turntable and bring it back.  Guess it is more exciting if you are a 5 year old little boy.

After finishing our tour and ride on the train, we went to one of my favorite places in Tennessee to eat.  Taco Mac.  Every time we come back here I have to eat at this place.  They have the best buffalo grilled chicken sandwich I have ever eaten.  They make their own ranch sauce, and serve it with the best onion rings ever.

After eating lunch at Taco Mac, we took the kids to the Tennessee Aquarium.  We have also been here many times, but we love it.

That was the end of our day in Chattanooga.

Summer Travels - Part 3

Our Trip to Mayfield Dairy

We have been to this Dairy many times before.  It is located in Athens, Tennessee.  Beautiful ride over there, but long.

Started out by crossing the Tennessee River.

You have to wear these hair nets to take a tour of the processing plant.  It is a very interesting tour (No pictures allowed).  You see how they bottle their milk/ice cream.  After the tour you do get to buy a cone filled with some of their wonderful ice cream. My kids said it was very good ice cream.

On the outside of their buildings they have these wonderful paintings.

If you are ever in that area it is a great experience.

Summer Travels - Part 2

127 Yard Sale

I have wanted to go to this yard sale for years now.  It is called The 127 Yard Sale.  It is 600 plus miles long, and stretches from Alabama to Michigan.

Sorry this picture is blurry, I took it on a drive by.

This is just a small section of the yard sale.  It was so crazy how many people were there set up.  Some was pure junk.  Some was very over priced antiques.

I saw this great dinning room table.   Asked the man selling it if I could take a picture.  He said, "Sure honey, sit right down and try it out."

Unfourtunatly this is all I bought on this first day.  Sad right, but I do love to nibble on these.

Summer Travels - Part One

Heading to Tennessee

Our first day was mainly spent traveling to Tennessee.  We have been here many times before.  My dad lives here so we come to visit and travel around.

The first night there my kids and husband fished in the pond.  They love doing this, but rarely catch anything.

While there we stayed in a cute cabin that my dad and step mom Willa built on the property.  This is a view from the upstairs window.

They did such a great job decorating the inside.

Stairs leading up to the bedroom area.

The kitchenette area.

The cute bathroom.

Sorry, forgot to take a picture of the outside.

This weeks Friday favorite is one that I use everyday, and love.

It is the Remington Frizz Therapy Flat Iron.
I purchased mine at our local Target for about $40.
It keeps my mess of curly hair straight and smooth all day.
That's right, no frizz all day.
I've never had this with any other flat iron.
